USER EXPERIENCE DESIGNER/LOS ANGELES

As the intellectual owner of a user-centered design methodology at a major advertising agency in Los Angeles, the UX Designer is responsible for the overall user experience on digital marketing initiatives coming out of the Interactive & Relationship Marketing departments. This includes web sites, various marketing micro-sites, social media initiatives and other assorted media applications (e.g. Tivo, DVDs, multi-media ads, kiosks, mobile phone apps, etc.) This person balances the desires of the clients with the habits & needs of the user to create digital experiences that achieve the objectives of both. This position provides both strategic insights and recommendations for rewarding interactive experiences, and the executional blueprints to bring those insights to life in marketing projects.

Position Responsibilities:

• Serve as the key user experience expert in my client's Interactive & Relationship Marketing department
• Specify how users will find information by defining organization, navigation, labeling, and content categories.
• Design all information/site flows for digital executions
• Create detailed page-by-page wireframes for all projects
• Analyze available information and assets to assess optimal IxD approach
• Utilize insights from planning analyst, business/account services and creative to create the most effective user experience
• Map out how applications will accommodate change and growth over time.
• Assess information design of existing applications and recommend improvements
• Create information design that tracks to pre-determined success metrics.
• Stay up-to-speed on relevant industry trends and keep key stakeholders informed, including monitoring competitive executions of note.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Proficient with computer software including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as Omnigraffle and any other programs directly related to interaction design documentation.

• Ability to analyze data of numerous types, including site tracking and user analytics, and turn into key insights that can directly lead to more impactful interaction design execution.

• Strong understanding of Interactive, Relationship (direct) Marketing and various digital/new media platforms.

• Experience with user personas and use-case scenarios.

• Ongoing interest in industry trends and information and working knowledge of resources that can regularly bring knowledge and insights.

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal), and an ability to present effectively to agency and client staff.

• Extremely detailed, able to find discrepancies, disconnects, etc. amongst complex site documentation.

• Needs to be analytical, hardworking, creative, curious and interested in people and ideas.

• Must be a confident and motivated self starter.

• Ability to create clarity out of complexity.

• Should be sufficiently bold, innovative and visionary to help the agency create new methods for creating meaningful engagement with target consumers.

DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER/MAJOR CPG CLIENT-SIDE OPPORTUNITY/MID-WEST

The Digital Marketing Manager will lead all aspects of digital marketing plan development and execution for multiple beauty and haircare brands at this major mid-western CPG company. This role will colloborate and coordinate with external agencies and strategic partners, technology vendors and various internal cross-functional organizations to deliver brand specific digital programs that maximize the ROI for the brands' investment in these programs.  The role provides local and regional program support, regional coordination, budget tracking, and campaign results and summary reporting.  This position works with the brand teams for the local and regional planning, management, analysis and reporting of the CRM database and its associated programs to obtain consumer insights, provide personalized, 1:1 consumer communications and deliver an increase in consumer loyalty and the lifetime value of their consumers.  This role operates as part of the broader global digital marketing team working collaboratively to drive adoption of global strategies and to develop and share global synergies and best practices.  Initially, this role will work with a cross-functional team to define the voice of the company's brands in Social Media, listen to consumers and respond appropriately.  The Social Media management portion of the role will eventually be transitioned to a Social Media Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
  • The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and managing holistic digital marketing programs for multiple beauty and haircare brands, leading their execution with excellence, and identifying opportunities for strategic partnerships, co-promotions, etc. that are aligned with the brand strategies and based upon consumer insights.  The individual in this role is a change agent to drive adoption of digital marketing and new, relevant forms of media in order to transform the way the brands connect with their target consumers.  The scope of responsibility includes, but is not limited to, website development, email marketing, CRM, search marketing, online advertising, and mobile.  This manager operates as part of the broader global digital marketing team working collaboratively to drive adoption of global strategies and to develop, share, and implement global synergies and best practices.  This role provides local and regional program support, regional coordination, and budget tracking.  The individual in this role will collaborate and coordinate with internal teams (Marketing, Marketing Services, Global Digital Marketing, ITSS, MRD, inCreative, etc.), external agencies and strategic partners, technology vendors and various internal cross-functional organizations to deliver brand specific digital programs.  This role is responsible for delivering consumer insights, maximizing ROI of brand investment in digital programs, and positively impacting top line and bottom line business results.
  • Coordinate with a cross-functional team to define the voice of beauty and haircare brands within Social Media for each brand within each country.  Actively, listen to the consumer and engage (ultimately responsible for posts) in conversation with her at the appropriate time and in the appropriate places such as: Facebook, Twitter, Hyves, brand site communications, etc.  This portion of the role will eventually be transitioned to a Social Media Manager.
  • Manage the relationship with the brand's digital agencies and vendors to develop and deliver digital marketing programs that are delivered on time and within budget and are tied to brand strategies and consumer insights.  Ensure that the agencies are appropriately staffed, have a good understanding of brand strategies, consumer targets, and business objectives.
  • Provide strong analytical capabilities.  Implement key performance measures for each digital program and report on them regularly.  Evaluate the effectiveness of those programs and digital marketing overall.  Identify gaps and opportunities.  Deliver timely campaign results and summary reports.
Job Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience, prefer CPG experience
  • 2 + years of Marketing experience
  • Understanding of Premium Beauty Aesthetics
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects

USER EXPERIENCE DESIGN LEAD NYC

My client a hip, award-winning advertising agency in NYC is seeking a User Experience Lead with proven experience developing innovative,award-winning experiences in highly collaborative, creative-driven environments. This person must have 5+ years experience working at an advertising agency or digital marketing agency. Sorry, no exceptions!

The UX Lead will be both hands-on with the day-to-day delivery of great work and focused on integrating UX into the creative team's approach to ideation and delivery.

Responsibilities
● Collaborate with Strategy, Creative, and Production to inspire, shape, and present creative ideas to clients and internal stakeholders
● Develop clear and detailed documentation including site maps, consumer journeys, user flows, wireframes, and functional specifications for a full range or deliverables covering applications, websites, mobile devices, emerging technologies, kiosks, and installations
● Conduct stakeholder interviews, heuristic analyses, content audits, user research, and usability testing as appropriate for the scale and type of projects
● Educate clients and internal stakeholders about the range of offerings within the UX discipline and industry best practices
● Interview, hire, and have direct managerial responsibility over freelance and full-time User Experience staff
● Develop the company's approach to User Experience based on best practices and established company processes
● Work with designers and production partners to ensure full understanding of
